The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West VirginiaJulien Nitzberg's 2009 documentary The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia is a mesmerizing trip into a world of debauchary and twisted love. The film takes place over the course of year following the infamous members of the White family. Notorious for their insane hell-raising antics causing havoc throughout West Virginia, the Whites have been making trouble for generations. Drug use is expected, violence is commonplace, and murder is understandable. Although the Whites make the typical trailer park lifestyle seem elegant in comparison, they do exhibit an endearing loyalty to one another that becomes, dare I say, somewhat enchanting. This doc is on Netflix's Instant Streaming, and I would love to hear what you all thought of the film. Leave your comments and let me know if you also found the White's way of life kind of charming.
